5.4 USER OPTIONS
Options [1] and [2]: Master Feature
Wh en option [1] is OFF, the User canno t program other Users i nto the system.
Wh en option [1] is ON and o pti on [2 ] is OFF, th e User can only mod ify existing User A ccess Codes.
Wh en both options [1] and [2] are ON, the User has Ful l Ma ster rights. The User can cre ate or modify User Access
Codes, User Options, User Access Control Options, Access Card Numbers and Area Assignments according to
their own pr ogramming. For example, if th e Fu ll Master User has access to area #1 and option [4] (B ypass) only, the
Ful l Master User can only assign area #1 and optio n [4] to other Users in the system.
Option [3]: Duress
Wh en op tio n [3 ] is ON, th e Duress feature is enable d. This feature is u sed when someone forces a User to ar m or
disarm an area(s). B y entering a User A ccess Code (P.I.N.) reserved for the Duress featur e, the system will arm or
disa rm the a rea(s), and then sen d a sile nt alarm to the Central Mon itoring Station.
Option [4]: B ypass
Wh en option [4 ] is ON, the Bypass feature is e nabled. This fea tur e allows the User to d eactivate zone s when arming
the area(s).
Option [5]: Arm Only
Wh en option [5 ] is ON, the Ar m Only fe ature is enable d. The User can arm assigned ar eas with either a card or
code, but cann ot di sa rm. When the op tion is OFF, the User can either arm or disarm assig ned are as.
Option [6]: Stay & Instant A rm
Wh en op tio n [6 ] is ON, the Stay and Instant Arm features are enabled. The User can no w Stay or Instant Arm thei r
assig ned areas.
Option [7]: Force Arm
Wh en option [7] is ON, the For ce arm feature is ena bled. The Use r can now Force arm the ir assigned ar eas.
Option [8]: Area Access
Wh en option [8] is ON, the keypad will permit a ccess to all the a reas assigned to th e User Access Code. When
option [8] is OFF, the keypad will only permit access to the a reas it contro ls. For example, the keypad is assigned
area 1 onl y, and you r User Access Code is a ssigned are as 1 to 4. If the option is O N, yo u can access all four are as
from the keypad. If the o pti on is O FF, you can only access area 1.
By defa ult al l Users can Regula r arm the system.
5.5 ACCESS CONTROL USER OPTIONS
Option [1]: Access Card is Activated
Wh en option [1 ] is ON, the Access Control Card is activated a nd can b e used when A ccess Contr ol is enab led in the
system. When the option is OFF, the Access Control Ca rd ca nnot be used .
Option [2]: Disarming with Access Card
Wh en option [2] is ON, a User’s A ccess Control Card can unlock and disarm an a rmed A ccess Control Do or (see
section 6.2.2 on page 12).
For option [2] to function in the ON position, option [5] “Arm Only” in the User Options must
be disabled (refer to section 5.4 on page 11).
Option [3]: Card with Extended Unlocked Period
Wh en option [3] is ON, “Extended Unlocked Pe riod” is enabled. “Extended Unl ocked Per iod” refers to the time
period p rogrammed into each Access Control Door by yo ur Installer that extends the unlocke d time of the door. For
example, if your Installer sets the Un locked per iod of th e door to 30 se conds and the E xtended Unlo cked Perio d to
15 seconds, then a User Access Co de with “Extende d Unlocked Period” enabled will have a total of 4 5 se conds to
pass through the door.
Options [4] to [7]: Arming with Card
Options [4] to [7] de fine the type of arming wh en arming with an Access Control Card (re fer to se ction 6.2.1 on page
12). You can either Regular arm, Stay arm, Instant arm, or Force arm.
